Dorothy L. (Wessel) Anspach

Dorothy L. (Wessel) Anspach, 83, of Newton died on Saturday, June 15, 2013, at her home in Newton.

A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, 210 N. Second Ave. E. in Newton. The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at the church. The family also will greet friends immediately following the service with a lunch at the church. Burial will be 1:15 p.m. Wednesday at the Newton Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton.

Memorials to First United Methodist Church or to Skiff Hospice may be left at the church on the day of the service or at the Wallace Family Funeral Home. Memorials may also be mailed to the funeral home, please add; Attn: Anspach Family on the envelope.

Survivors include her husband, Alan of Newton; four children, Kathy (Mike) Schroeder of Council Bluffs, Kim Johnston of Hannibal, Mo., Kelly (Kevin) Terlouw of Lynnville, and Kirk Anspach of Newton; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Lloyd (Marjorie) Wessel of Newton, Faye White of Newton, and Doris Wessel of Marshall, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Virginia Kling.
