Newton Police Department
• Dylan T. Poe, 20, of Newton was arrested on a Polk County warrant for failure to appear in court after authorities stopped him at 12:19 a.m. June 1 in the 500 block of First Avenue East for no license plate. He was given a warning for the license plate and a citation for no insurance. He was transported to the Polk County line and turned over to a Polk County deputy.
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office
• Matthew L. Barnes, 23, of Grinnell was arrested on a Poweshiek County warrant at 8:51 a.m. Thursday after authorities located him in Newberg. He was transferred to Grinnell and then extradited to Poweshiek County.
• Robert R. Clayton, 35, of Grinnell was charged with driving while license suspended after authorities stopped him at 7:56 a.m. Wednesday in the 5400 block of Highway 14 East for speeding and determined he had a suspended license. He was released to appear in court.
• Katherine A. Lamb, 49, of Mingo was charged with fourth-degree theft after Jasper County deputies received a call on Wednesday about a window unit air conditioner that was removed from an apartment and reinstalled in another apartment. Lamb said she had permission to move the air conditioner. She was taken to the Jasper County Jail.
