The Newton Parks and Recreation “Evenings at the Bowl” summer concert series will continue on Thursday with the Harvest Band performing at the Maytag Bowl.
The Harvest Band has had the pleasure to feature the same three core members for more than 25 years — Jim Robinson, drums/harmonica; Tom Robinson, guitars/keyboards; and Mark “M.C.” Bailey, bass and emcee extraordinaire. All three display distinctive vocal styles and have a wide range of musical material from classic rock, country, blues, reggae and originals. The band has recently been nominated for the Iowa Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and is free to the public.
