Citizens’ Journalism Academy

The Newton Daily News Citizens' Journalism Academy began Thursday evening with a tour of the Daily News facility, as well as a discussion of a "day in the life" of the newspaper. Editor Bob Eschliman, center, discussed the various techniques, equipment and computer software used by today's newspaper staff to produce the daily newspaper. Future sessions will discuss the history and basics of journalism, as well as ways citizens can produce newspaper-ready writing and photography submissions for publication.
