Des Moines Area Community College’s Ankeny/Newton/Urban/West Campus 2013 Commencement will take place at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wells Fargo Arena.
DMACC Newton Campus student Caitlin Hainley of Mingo will welcome family and friends to the graduation ceremony. Former DMACC Culinary Arts student Shelley Young, who is now the owner and chef of The Chopping Block Cooking School, will deliver the commencement address.
More than 2,400 students from the DMACC Ankeny, Newton, Urban and West campuses will receive awards at the commencement.
