‘Sundays at Four’ presents final show of the season

First Presbyterian Church of Newton will concludes its “Sundays at Four” concert series on Sunday, May 5 at 5 p.m. featuring its annual Collaboration Concert. 

The concert will take place at First Presbyterian Church, 220 N. 2nd Ave. E., Newton, showcasing the talents of the First Presbyterian Chancel Choir,  NHS Varsity Chorale and Central College Chamber Singers. In addition to selections by each ensemble, the choirs will join forces to sing Haydn’s classic “The Heavens Are Telling” from The Creation; Randall Stroope’s moving “Omnia Sol;” Hall Johnson’s timeless spiritual “Ain’ Got Time To Die” and John Rutter’s “The Lord Bless You and Keep You.” Accompaniment will be provided by Sandy Smit and Marlys Grimm. 

A free will offering will be collected for the event, and refreshments will be served afterward in Fellowship Hall.
