Lavina ‘Sue’ Clement

Lavina “Sue” Clement, 63, passed away peacefully at Bright-Kavanagh House in Des Moines, Iowa, April 23, 2013, from a battle with brain cancer. A memorial get together and celebration of life will be planned for family and friends at a later date.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Lola Stocker, formerly of Newton.

Sue is survived by husband, Bruce, of 42 years; children, Shannon, Ben, Nate (Courtney) and Amanda; grandchildren, Shayla, Jesse, Cody, Jaylen, and Caelyn; siblings, Jim (Linda) Stocker and Lois Knapp; nieces and nephews, Tanya Stocker, Brian Stocker, Bev Halter and Shirley Treanor; cousin, Janice (Max) Nicolleto; sister-in-law, Carmen Clement; brothers-in-law, Conrad (Patsy), Larry (Kathy), Stan (Brenda), Dave (Martha), Brad (Cyndy) Clement; and many other family and friends, including dearest, Nancy Seger. Little dogs, Tucker and Cheeto, will miss the daily old fashioned buggy rides with her.

Sue’s passion was to help as many people as possible. She was a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital Medical Center for 20 years until fibromyalgia forced retirement in 1995.

Her wish was to thank the many professional medical personnel in her life for so many years, including: Dr. Brad Markowski, Dr. Fred Aldrich, Dr. Erin K.Herndon, and Dr. Elizabeth Jauron.
