The second in a series of “civil conversations” will be held at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, April 21 at 4 p.m.
“On Being,” aired on National Public Radio, has undertaken a project promoting dialogue among people representing opposing sides of some of the most volatile issues in our churches and in the larger culture. This Civil Conversations Series offers a model for true dialogue. The programs feature individuals committed to their point of view, and equally committed to respecting, valuing and honestly engaging with people who disagree.
The topic for the April program is “Pro-Life, Pro-Choice, Pro-Dialogue.” The 50 minute podcast will be played, followed by approximately 40 minutes of discussion. The public is invited to participate.
