In the relay events, Newton finished third with their 4x110 shuttle hurdle team with a time of 1:09.17. The 4x400 team also finished in third with a time of 3:35.11.

“The athletes competed well and demonstrated some flexibility when we had a few of our regular athletes unable to participate,” coach Tom Bartello said. “I was proud of the way many athletes stepped up to fill in some last minute gaps. Overall, I was pleased with how we ran. It was cold and we did not bring our full lineup but the kids ran and competed hard and showed they are willing to work through a little adversity.”
