The annual Newton Elementary All Star Honor Band concert will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Newton Senior High School Center for Performance.
The All Star band is the Newton Community School District’s elementary honor band. The band is composed of fifth and sixth grade band students from Aurora Heights and Woodrow Wilson. Students are selected for participation in the band on the basis of their performing skills on their respective instruments. The goal of the All Star band is to expose students to more advanced band experiences than is possible at each of their individual elementary schools.
The concert is open to the public at no admission charge.
