The Neal Smith National Wildlife Refuge will host a Ranger Hike from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday.
The program is free and open to the public. The theme of the hike is how to build a prairie. A naturalist will discuss management and restoration techniques and will explain how the refuge is bringing back the tallgrass prairie. Participants will be provided a tour of the refuge’s seed laboratory, greenhouse and reconstructed prairie.
Register for the hike by contacting Michelle Garcia at firstname.lastname@example.org or (515) 994-3400.
The next Ranger Hike will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12.
