Kelley welcomed students for the Newton Senior High School Gay Straight Alliance — including Azalea Mastio, Samantha Bailey, Dakotah Osborn, Zach McCully, Ella Daft, Melanie Stice and Micaela Woolaver — to the House Chambers.

 Rep. Dan Kelley shared chili and visited with members of the Newton Fire Department —including Newton Fire Chief Jarrod Wellik, Calvin Swank and Tyler Harsselaar — as part of the Firehouse Cook Off at the Capitol.
