Ramon L. Faidley

Ramon L. Faidley, age 82 of Colfax, died Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Mitchell Village Care Center.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the Howard Street Christian Church with burial following at the Colfax Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013 form 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.  The family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  Memorials may be directed to the Howard Street Christian Church or the Colfax Senior Center.  Condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Roy and Edith (Longren) Faidley, Ramon was born on November 7, 1930 in Colfax.  He graduated from Colfax High School.  Ramon served in the United States Navy during the Korean War.  On July 29, 1955, he was united in marriage to Phyllis Jarnagin at Tools Point Chapel in Monroe.  Ramon worked at John Deere for 31 years, retiring in 1987.  He lived in and around Colfax his entire life.  He was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church, where he served as an Elder and Sunday School Teacher for several years.  He was also a member of the Mason’s and Amvets.

Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Phyllis; children, Marilyn Faidley, Jerry (Teresa) Faidley, and Jeff Faidley all of Colfax; grandchildren, Jamie Faidley of Des Moines, Jaci Faidley of Colfax, and Amanda Roam of Colfax;  great grandchildren, Haley Pierce, Emalie Roam, Logan Roam, and Fiona Faidley.  Also surviving is a sister, Marvel Baxter of Boise, Idaho and many nieces and nephews.  Preceding him in death were his parents, a sister, Marjorie Maxwell, and five brothers, Myron, Kenneth, Darrell, Lloyd and Loren.
