UNI earns berth in CIT, hosts North Dakota

The University of Northern Iowa men’s basketball team will play in the postseason for a fifth straight year after accepting a bid to play in the 2013 CollegeInsider.com Tournament (CIT).

UNI (18-14 overall, 11-7 Missouri Valley Conference) will play host to the University of North Dakota (16-16 overall, 12-8 Big Sky) on Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the McLeod Center.

UNI scored a 72-47 win this season over North Dakota on Nov. 17 in the McLeod Center. UNI head coach Ben Jacobson is a graduate of North Dakota. North Dakota head coach Brian Jones is a graduate of UNI.
