Dorothy Failor, 96, of Newton died Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Heritage Manor under the care of Skiff Hospice.  

A funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, at the Congregational United Church of Christ in Newton. The family will greet friends from noon until service time. For those desiring, memorials may be left at the church or at Johnson Funeral Service in Dorothy’s name.  

Those left to honor Dorothy’s memory are her daughter, Bonnie McGinley, and son-in-law Steven; her eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Iver and Anna Anderson; all seven of her siblings; and her husband, Woodrow Failor. Funeral arrangements are provided by Johnson Funeral Service in Newton.
