To the editor:

I’d like to thank the Newton Community School band department for an excellent concert Monday night. The commitment of these young people to their music was so very evident. 

More than 200 students from fifth grade through senior high school came together and presented an evening of music that was well worth our time to go and be entertained. I only wish we saw more presentations like this from the music department and more people in attendance to appreciate their efforts.
