Nadine Fricke, 93, of State Center, formerly of Baxter, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 28, 2013, at the State Center Nursing and Rehab Center in State Center.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Baxter Community Center in Baxter. A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 206 First Ave. S., State Center, Iowa. Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter.

Nadine Nellie Fricke was born on Dec. 3, 1919, to Merle and Mary (Miller) Warner in Rural Jasper County. She attended Baxter Community Schools and graduated in 1940. Nadine married Frederick Fricke on May 22, 1940, and they resided northwest of Baxter where they farmed together and raised their family. Nadine was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening and fishing.
