Terry L. McVey

Terry L. McVey, 54, of Colfax died Wednesday, Feb. 27, 2013, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston.

A celebration of Terry’s life will be at 7 p.m. Monday, March 4, at the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax. Memorials may be directed to the family to be decided at a later date and condolences may be left for the family at www.coburnfuneralhomes.com.

The son of Larry and Darlene (Honn) McVey, Terry was born on Dec. 1, 1958, in Corydon, Iowa. Terry worked as a truck driver and mechanic. His passion in life was working on cars and motorcycles. Those left to honor his memory include a daughter, Carrie McVey of Marion; a son, Ben McVey of Colfax; his father, Larry (Patty) McVey of Knoxville; his siblings, Larry McVey, Jr. of Garland, Texas, Jerry (Rita) McVey of Grinnell, Joe McVey of Marshalltown and Dan (Marvi) McVey of Liscomb, Iowa; a special friend, Mary Wiley of Lake City, Fla.; his ex-wife, Pat Pierce of Colfax; and several nieces and nephews.
