Nominations for the American Red Cross Heroes of the Heartland event in Des Moines will be accepted through March 1.
The public is invited to nominate individuals who have performed an extraordinary act of courage or have put in countless hours to a special cause. Nomination forms can be found at www.redcross.org/iowa and mailed to the American Red Cross serving Greater Iowa office, 2116 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA 50312, emailed to josh.nuss@redcross.org or faxed to (515) 244-8012 by midnight March 1.
The Heroes of the Heartland – Central Iowa Chapter Event is set for 7 to 9 a.m. Friday, April 12 at the Hy-Vee Conference Center in West Des Moines.
