CMB girls’ season ends Wednesday night

The Collins-Maxwell-Baxter girls basketball team was able to reach the Class 3A semifinals, but the Raiders’ run came to an end after a long road trip Wednesday night.

Driving all the way out to Wellman, the Raiders suffered a 59-39 loss to host Mid-Prairie to end their season.

Mid-Prairie took a commanding lead early, leading 19-4 after the first quarter, but the Raiders recovered in the second to trail just 26-18 at halfime. The second half was all Mid-Prairie, however, as it cruised 33-21 in the final two quarters to earn the victory.
