All are invited to celebrate the 100th birthday of Mildred Hennon from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Newton Village reception hall.

Hennon is a long-time resident of Newton and has reached one of those milestones in life that few will ever know. The reception is being hosted jointly by her family, Newton Village and the Immanuel Baptist Church, where she has attended church for many years.

The family has requested no gifts but will accept celebration cards. Newton Village is located at 122 N. Fifth Ave. W. in Newton.
