Pardon the pun, but the Eye Care Center of Newton is looking sharp after its recent interior remodel.

“We renovated our front lobby and our optometry area where we fit all the eyeglasses and things like that,” Dr. Chad Klein said. “This building was built in 1991, so a lot of that things were starting to show their age.”

Klein and the Eye Care Center completed the remodel with help from solely local contractors.

“Obviously we do a lot of business with people here in town, so we like to give back to the community the best we can, anytime we can,” Klein said. Among the local businesses involved in the remodel were Custom Kitchen Designs and Cook Electric. “We finished just after the first of the year and started last spring, in March or April, and worked on it bit by bit, piece by piece. Clients love it. It’s kind of the ‘wow’ factor — it looks so much different, and we’ve gotten so many compliments.”
