Betty J. Chamberlain

Betty J. Chamberlain, 87, of State Center Nursing and Rehab Center, died peacefully in her sleep, early Thursday morning.

Memorial Services for Betty will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, at Mitchell Family Funeral Home which is located at 1209 Iowa Ave West, Marshalltown, Iowa. Betty J. Chamberlain was born July 2, 1925, in Lovilia, Iowa, the daughter of Arthur and Sarah Maddy.  She was raised and educated in the Lovilia school district graduating from Lovilia High School as the valedictorian.  Betty was united in marriage on March 26, 1946 to Wilber Chamberlain in Lovilia, Iowa.  She was employed in Newton as a Jasper County Deputy Treasurer.  Betty had a passion for reading many different books, traveling, music and always had a special place in her heart for her grandkids.
