Pacesetters to present winter show

The Newton Senior High School Pacesetters will “Take You By Storm” at 7 p.m. Saturday during their annual winter show in the NHS gymnasium. 

The dance team will perform its state competition kick, pom and jazz routines as well as other dances performed throughout the year. Special performances will highlight the Pacesetter seniors, captains and state solo competitors. The show also will spotlight the Junior Pacesetters, the infamous Dancing Dads, the NHS Co-Ed Dance Team, the Unified Dance Team and special guests NHS Cheer Squad, Pella High Forte and Colfax High School Dance Team.

The Junior Pacesetter Clinic will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the high school. Those wanting to participate may register Saturday morning at the clinic. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. The cost is $20 and includes the clinic, a snack and a T-shirt. Tickets for the show can be purchased at the door beginning at 6:30 p.m. or prior to the show from any Pacesetter. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students. Children under the age of 5 are admitted for free. The show is under the direction of Coaches Lori Gilmore and Paige Meredith.
