Newton girls basketball game postponed Monday

Due to a lockdown situation at Boone High School on Monday, all extracurricular activities for the school were postponed, including the Newton girls basketball team’s home game against the Toreadors.
As of press time, no decision had been made about rescheduling the game or canceling it completely.
The Cardinals have five remaining games on the regular-season schedule before taking on Des Moines Hoover in the first round of the playoffs on Feb. 13.
