Rosemary I. Morgan, 89, of Newton, formerly of Des Moines, passed away at Mercy West Lakes Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013.

Rosemary was born June 18, 1923, in Wells, Minn., to Homer and Mary Jones. She graduated from Ames High School in 1942 and retired from Hawkeye Security Insurance Co. after 10 years of service. Rosemary was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Rosemary is survived by her daughter-in-law, Barb (Louis) Piatt; son-in-law, Wayne Jensen; grandchildren, Kelly Tripp, Brad (Jenni Kuster) Jefferson, Chris (Jessi) Jensen, Todd Jensen and Scott Jensen; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald Morgan; son, Larry Jefferson; and her daughter, Linda Jensen.

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. followed by burial at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in loving memory of Rosemary.
