Raymond Peck

Raymond Peck, 71, of Newton died on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, at the Iowa City VA Health Care Systems in Iowa City.

A memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Raymond’s name may be left at the funeral home.

Raymond, the son of Raymond and Emma (Theilen) Peck, was born on Jan. 13, 1942, in Kewanee, Ill. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and worked as a Journeyman Electrician for many years.  Raymond was united in marriage with Janet Olson on Dec. 19, 1975, in Las Vegas, Nev. They made their home between California and Iowa before moving to Iowa permanently after Raymond’s retirement. He was a former member of the American Legion in Kellogg, Iowa and enjoyed hunting and playing pool.
