Newton Police Department

• Wesley J. Keller Jr., 25, of Newton was charged with fifth-degree theft and possession of drug paraphernalia after police were called to Walmart at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday. Keller allegedly stole four items worth $32.91. While police searched him, they found a marijuana pipe. He was released to appear.

A criminal charge is merely an accusation, and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
