Newton Police Department

• Anthony R. Amos, 51, of Newton was cited for serious assault after police were called to 502 E. Fourth St. N. #5 at 7:55 p.m. Sunday. Amos allegedly assaulted a male victim. The victim had scratches on his neck, a cut on his head and a scratch on his right cheek. Officers requested Amos appear at the police station where he was cited. He was released to appear.

• Kyle C. Goudeau, 26, of Baxter was arrested for driving while license revoked and driving without insurance after officers pulled him over for a traffic stop in the 1200 block of East 18th Street South at 12:18 p.m. Tuesday. He was taken to Jasper County Jail.
