Philip and Kristi Peden of Newton announce the birth of their son, Ezra David Peden, on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
He weighed 8 pounds, 11.2 ounces, and was 201⁄2 inches in length. He was welcomed home by one sibling, Atticus, 5.
Grandparents are Pam and David Schnathorst of Newton, Dan and Dixie Peden of Ely and the late Jackie Peden of San Diego, Calif.
Great-grandparents are Leah Stevens of Vista, Calif.
