On Thursday, the Denver Nuggets reassigned rookie guard Quincy Miller to the Iowa Energy, the Nuggets’ NBA Development League affiliate. The assignment is the record 78th of the 2012-13 NBA and NBA D-League seasons, and is the second for Miller this year. He is one of 43 NBA players who’ve been assigned to the NBA D-League this season.

Miller (6-9, 210, Baylor) has appeared in three games for Denver this season, averaging 5.0 minutes. In his previous three-game stint with Iowa, Miller averaged 14.0 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 29.3 minutes.

Selected in the second round (38th overall) of the 2012 NBA Draft, Miller spent one year with Baylor, when he averaged 10.6 points and 4.9 rebounds in 24.4 minutes. He was named the Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Year by league coaches. He also helped the Bears reach the Elite Eight at the 2012 NCAA Tournament.

Miller joined the Energy Thursday and will be available when the team hosts the Los Angeles D-Fenders tonight.
