First United Methodist Church to host two Christmas Eve candlelight services

First United Methodist Church in Newton will have two services on Christmas Eve. The public is invited to attend either or both.

The 7 and 11 p.m. candlelight services will be a Service of Lessons and Carols. Special music will include the Jubilee Ringers, the Chancel Choir, soloists Rachel Faidley and Joy Stout, and a vocal duet by Bryce & Leah Hunter. Jean Ibbotson will be the organist.

The altar will be open for communion for one-half hour before each candlelight service. You are welcome to come anytime in the half hour prior to either service, and the pastor will offer the sacraments at the altar.
