William “Bill” L. Fisher, 56 of Newton died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines as a result of an auto accident in rural Jasper County.

A private family burial will be held at a later date.  The Wallace Family Funeral Home is handling the cremation.

Bill is survived by his children, Jody (Cory) Steele of Knoxville and Stacey (Andy) Reynolds of Mitchellville; 3 grandchildren, Bryce, Jacob, and Zachary; his sister, Darlene (Jack) Illingworth of Newton; brother, Ronald Lee Fisher of Newton;  his half-sister, Paige Fisher Ford of Newton; and half-brother, Wade (Chris) Fisher of Marshalltown.  He was preceded in death by his parents, William Lester and Thelma Darlene (Grovenburg) Fisher,  and a brother, Steven Fisher.
