Newton Masons host Shop With A Cop

Newton Masonic Lodge #59 hosted a lunch on Saturday for the “Shop With A Cop” event. The officers and their wives of the Newton Police Department and Jasper County Sheriff’s Office took 15 youngsters to Walmart for shopping. After the shopping, the Newton Masons hosted a lunch for them. Santa stopped by for a visit and brought each child a gift. This event is co-hosted by the local chapter of Big Brothers Big Sisters.
