PCM basketball sweeps Norsemen Friday

The Prairie City-Monroe boys and girls basketball teams each earned big conference victories on Friday night, defeating Roland-Story in Story City.

The Mustang boys (6-0, 4-0 Heart of Iowa Conference) remained undefeated thanks to a 22-point effort (9-for-14 shooting) from junior Dillon Bruxvoort in their 67-43 win. Bruxvoort was joined in double digits by senior Alex DeWitte, who finished with 17.

Senior Ethan Kain scored eight points for PCM, freshman Logan GIlman had seven off the bench, senior Michael Neff contributed six and junior Zach Uhlenhopp rounded out the team’s scoring with five.
