Michael McCoy

Michael Oliver McCoy, 77, of Newton, passed away Thursday evening, Dec. 6, 2012, at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

Funeral services for Michael will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at the Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery. Visitation with the family will start at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, with a lunch at noon, until service time at the funeral home. Memorials are being designated in Michael’s name, and may be left at the funeral home.

Michael, the son of Michael Oliver and Grace Dell (Brown-Stoner) McCoy, was born May 2, 1935, in Linden, Iowa. He graduated from high school and later attended college for several years.
