Tax education program at DMACC in January

To help individuals who file or are thinking of filing their own returns, a workshop will be held to review who must file, filing status, eligible dependents, tax deductions, tax credits and record keeping requirements.

The program will focus on individual and joint returns for families and will meet from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 8, 2013, at the DMACC meeting room 210 B (second floor), located at 550 N. Second Ave. W. in Newton.

There is no charge for the program. Call (641) 792-6433 to register. Participants are encouraged to bring a copy of their previous year’s tax return for reference.
