• Jason Robert Gray, 25, of Prairie City was stopped at 9:27 p.m. Nov. 14 for a traffic violation. A check of his driving record showed that he did not have a valid driver’s license. Gray also was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine smoking pipe. Gray was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license and no insurance. He was placed in the Jasper County Jail.

• Rick Leroy Craig, 40, of Prairie City was arrested at 10 a.m. Nov. 19 on two outstanding arrest warrants from the Prairie City Police Department for carrying dangerous weapons. Craig was arrested by Des Moines police and was placed in the Polk County Jail. Prairie City Police picked up Craig and transported him to the Jasper County Jail.

• Royce Alan Booth, 25, of Prairie City was arrested for domestic assault — simple after police were dispatched to a domestic disturbance at 9:07 p.m. Nov. 20. Officers determined Booth assaulted a 23-year-old Prairie City woman by grabbing her hair and pulling her to the floor. Booth was placed in the Jasper County Jail.

• Billy Wayne Herweh Jr., 26, of Colfax was charged with second degree theft, unlawful use of credit cards and identity theft following an investigation that began Feb. 3, 2012 in reference to theft. The charges stem from incidents that occurred between Feb. 11, 2011, through Feb. 3, 2012. Herweh is accused of illegally acquiring Social Security funds from another person in the amount of $1,540. He also used a credit card from another person for $725.05 in unauthorized purchases and opened four bank accounts in the name of another using the victim’s Social Security number. Warrants were issued for his arrest as he currently is incarcerated on other charges.

• Jason Michael Trunnel, 35, of Prairie City was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia at 4:09 p.m. Nov. 27. Prairie City police were assisting the ambulance when they found a marijuana pipe in plain view at the scene. Trunnel was released to appear.

• At 7:04 p.m. Thursday, Prairie City Police were dispatched to a residence on West Second Street for a property dispute. The complainant was identified as Kimberly Ann Herweh, 41, of Waukee. A records check showed that Herweh was wanted on an outstanding arrest warrant from Warren County for failure to appear. Herweh was arrested on the warrant and transported to Pleasant Hill and turned over to Warren County authorities.
