IOWA CITY (AP) — A 20 -year-old former University of Iowa student has been convicted of sexually abusing another student more than two years ago.

The Gazette reports that Evan Pfeifer, of Lake Barrington, Ill., was found guilty last week of sexual abuse. Pfeifer faces 10 years in prison when he’s sentenced.

Authorities say the victim was 19 when Pfeifer assaulted her early in the morning of Oct. 3, 2010, after a football game the day before The woman says Pfeifer accosted her as she was headed to Stanley Hall on campus.
