Zachary Parker, a 2007 graduate of Newton Senior High School, will be performing this weekend in the ninth annual Holiday Grande 2012 with Jim McDonough at Hoyt Sherman Place in Des Moines on Sunday.

The show is a fundraiser for Camp Courageous and will be performed at several Iowa venues, including the Adler Theater in Davenport and the Paramount in Cedar Rapids in addition to Hoyt Sherman. Parker will be singing and dancing in the show.

Parker graduated from the University of Missouri at Kansas City Conservatory of Music in 2011 with a degree in vocal performance. He spent the 2011-2012 season as an artist in residence for the Little Theater on the Square in Sullivan, Ill.

Parker has been living in Newton since this summer, working at Progress Industries. Following the Holiday Grande, he will perform in “Carousel” at the Kansas City Repertory Theater in March of 2013.

Tickets for the Des Moines show range in price from $29 to $34 and may be purchased by calling (800) 745-3000 or visiting www.ticketmaster.com.
