Annual Dollars for Scholars Tour of Homes planned for Dec. 1

The Newton Dollars for Scholars Tour of Homes is set for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.

Homes on this year’s tour include the Grange House at 6103 E. Fourth St. N., Linda Bacon’s residence at 607 S. Fifth Ave. W., the Maytag Guest House on South 12th Avenue West, Fred Chabot’s residence at 930 E. 10th St. S. and Ben and Carol Van Zee’s residence at 2655 Highway S74 S.

The cost is $10 per person, and tickets are available at all Newton financial institutions, the Greater Newton Area Chamber of Commerce, and at each home the day of the tour. In the event of bad weather, the tour will be rescheduled to Sunday.
