The Jasper County Farm Service Agency is reminding local producers ACRE program records are due and that ballots for the county committee election must be submitted by Monday.

Jasper County producers are encouraged to submit production evidence for all farms enrolled in the 2012 ACRE program. Providing the FSA office production records was one of the requirements to be eligible for the ACRE program, and the FSA office is asking for records to be submitted as soon as possible in person, by mail or fax.  

The ballots for the county committee election already have been distributed. The Local Administrative Area #2 is the seat up for re-election. This LAA includes the townships of Palo Alto, Buena Vista, Richland, Fairview West, Fairview East, Elk Creek and Lynn Grove. Those who reside in one of the listed townships, or primarily farm in this area and have designated it to be their LAA, should have received a ballot in the mail. The ballots need to be returned to the office or postmarked by Monday.
