NCS students named to SCIBA Honor Band

Three Newton Christian School band students recently were selected to perform in the 2012 SCIBA Jr. High Honor Band. Sponsored by the South Central Iowa Bandmasters Association, the honor band concert was performed Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the Johnston Middle School Auditorium in Johnston. Selected for the honor band from NCS were seventh grade students Carter Lee, clarinet; Sarah Urias, clarinet; and eighth grade student Joseph Malsom, clarinet.
