Anna Burger

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Anna (Latshaw) Burger, 90, the widow of Eugene R. Burger, passed Nov. 19, 2012, peacefully and surrounded by the love of her family.

Anna is a native of Carlisle, Ind., and a graduate of Indiana University, Class of 1943, holding both Bachelor and Master’s degrees. She began her teaching career in Lawrenceburg, Ind., continuing after marriage in Winslow, Ind., and Newton, Iowa. Anna was a lifelong educator with a love for teaching both math and reading to middle and high school students. She had the opportunity to positively impact the lives of countless students.

She was a long term resident of Petersburg, Ind. and Newton, Iowa, and spent her retirement in Naples, Fla. She will always be remembered for her wit and her smile. Anna leaves behind three children, Eugene, Brenda, and Gary and three grandchildren Laura, Mark, and David.

The family will have private services. Memorials may be sent to your local Hospice or the Naples Humane Society.
