Winners of Patriotic Essay Contest

Pictured (from left) are Riley Odem, Morgan Lindahon, Vanessa Gregory, Kassidy Helmick, and Maggie Schabilian, winners of the VFW Post 1655 Ladies Auxiliary Patriotic Essay Contest. Schabilian and Odem took first place in the contest, which was open to third- and fourth-graders and asked children to either write about why they loved America or which branch of service they liked most. Henry Jensen (not pictured) also placed in the competition.
