Veterans to be honored during Sunday program

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1655 in Newton will host a commemorative Veterans Day program at 11 a.m. Sunday. The program honoring all who have served their country will feature a joint posting of colors, placement of wreaths, a salute to veterans and more.

The special program is arranged and sponsored by the Newton’s Veterans Council, which includes the American Legion, World War I Veterans, World War II Veterans, Korean War Veterans, Vietnam Veterans, VFW, Barracks 1503, Disabled American Veterans and 40/8.
