Blood drives planned around Jasper County in November

DES MOINES — Several blood drives are planned around Jasper County in November.

The blood drive schedule is as follows:

• 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Community Heights Alliance Church.

• 7:15 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Prairie City United Methodist Church, 706 W. McMurray in Prairie City.

• 1 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at the DMACC Newton Campus Conference Center.

• 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Baxter City Hall, 203 S. Main St. in Baxter.

To schedule a blood donation appointment, visit www.lifeservebloodcenter.org or call (800) 287-4903. Eligible blood donors must be at least 16 years old, should weigh at least 120 pounds and should be in general good health.
