Trent Van Hoosen

Trent Van Hoosen, 46, of Fishers, Ind., passed away unexpectedly on Friday, Nov. 2, 2012. He was born on Oct. 13, 1966, to Charles and Leslie Van Hoosen in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Trent graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1985, and is an Iowa State graduate where he played football from 1986-1990. He was employed by Stryker Orthopedics. He was a member of Christ the Savior Lutheran Church in Fishers and was active in Hamilton Southeastern youth sports coaching and mentoring young athletes.

He is survived by his wife, Susan (Carr) Van Hoosen; two sons, Matt and Joe, and a daughter, Sophia; mother, Leslie Van Hoosen; two sisters, Tracie (Ron) Rathjens, and Teresa (Todd) Meyer; beloved aunts and uncles, Mary and Mark Altemeier, Connie and John DeGreef, Janet and Monte Rinehart, Betty and Regan Broderson, Diane and Mark Blackwood and Judy and Steve Ferring; 11 nieces and nephews, plus several cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Van Hoosen, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov. 5, at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, 10500 East 126th Street, in Fishers, with fellowship and gathering afterwards at the church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Trent Van Hoosen Memorial Fund, in care of Chase Bank, for a scholarship fund established for their children.
