To the editor:

The administrative staff of the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office is supporting John Halferty as the next Sheriff of Jasper County. Over the last 15 years we have come to know John as a law enforcement officer with high morals, integrity, and one who leads by example. We are excited for the opportunity to continue to serve under his guidance and leadership.

His time as the chief deputy under the tenure of Sheriff Mike Balmer has allowed him to gain knowledge in all areas of the Sheriff’s Office, which is essential for the position of sheriff. John Halferty’s experience and leadership should leave no doubt to any citizen of Jasper County that he has the skill set required to be an effective and efficient administrator.

We ask that you consider and join us in supporting John Halferty as the next Sheriff of Jasper County.
