Loebsack supports marriage equality for all Iowans

To the editor:

Being married normally wouldn’t have much of an impact on how I vote, but this year it does. After 15 years of being unable to marry the love of my life, I now live in a state that understands and treats us as equals and deserving of all the rights that other Iowans already enjoy.

I want to tell you about a politician who represents Iowa in Congress who understands this. His name is Dave Loebsack.

He understands that when two people love each other, the government needs to let them show their love for each other and have the same rights and happiness that other Iowans already share. He appreciates the love we have for each other and believes we should be able to enjoy the same rights as any other Iowan.

I wanted to write this letter to let people know about Dave Loebsack. I wanted to let them know he understands the troubles we are going through. Like myself, Dave grew up in a single-parent household, and he knows how difficult and how much work it is to raise a child and how little can be between having food on the table and not.

I wanted to let people know Dave Loebsack understands the problems we are going through and is working for us in Washington, and that if people want to vote for someone who works for them, then they should vote for Dave Loebsack this November, and vote for President Obama and Dan Kelley.
